Easy Christmas Brownie Batter Dip

When I was a child, we used to all load up in the car and go to my grandmother Nay’s house for Christmas. Her name was actually Edna, but we called her Nay because my cousin Donna used to call her something similar to Nay when she was little and couldn’t say Edna properly. My dad, being the jokester that he was, started calling her Nay all the time and it just sort of stuck as these things sometimes do.

Anyway, sometimes there would be a “kid table” where the youngest of us would sit while the adults sat at the “adult table.” Wouldn’t it be fun for the kid tables to have some of their own dishes? Allow me to introduce our Christmas Brownie Batter Dip. This super easy to make recipe will keep the kiddos happy and make them feel happy to have their own special table.

Christmas Brownie Batter Dip

Ingredients

• Christmas M&M Candies 
• 15oz Whipped Topping 
• 18oz Box Brownie Mix
• 8oz Cream Cheese
• 1/4 Cup Milk
• Cookies and Fruit (your favorites for dunking) 

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine brownie mix, cream cheese & whipped topping.
2. Add in the milk and mix thoroughly.
3. Place the brownie batter dip in a serving dish and add fruit, cookies and your favorite foods for dipping.
4. Cover the brownie batter dip with the candy and enjoy!

Did you have a kid table when you were growing up? If so, did you have any special dishes that made you excited to sit at the kid table? Not particularly Christmas related, but Nay used to also make biscuits by hand almost every evening for dinner. With the leftover dough, she would make a twisted up “funny biscuit” that we children used to all fight over. I think of that often and it makes me smile.
