A couple weeks ago was my first visit to California and man, we were all over the place. I went to the Pirates Of The Caribbean Premiere and Red {Aqua} Carpet. I attended the Pirates Press Junket and even interviewed quite a few stars and the directors from Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. That’s a lot, right? Oh no, my friends. I also went to Disneyland and California Adventure, courtesy of Disney. Even though I only spent a few days in California, I think I can officially say that I have been all up in California’s business.

On my recent trip to California, I got the opportunity to see some of the best that Disney has to offer. I spent a day at Disneyland and California Adventure {my first visit!}, attended the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, visited Walt Disney’s Office and I got to tour the Walt Disney Archives. The Walt Disney Archives is the place where all the history of Disney and, in particular, Walt Disney is kept. If you want to know the true history of the Disney company, then this is the place to go. However, Disney places high regards on its history, so seeing the Walt Disney Archives is not just something anyone can do. Most of the Walt Disney Archives are not open to the public, or at least I don’t think they are. So, the fact that I got to see some of this history with my own eyes is pretty cool if you ask me. On my recent trip to California, I got the opportunity to do something that not a lot of people have gotten to do. I got to tour Walt Disney’s Office. This is the actual office suite that Walt Disney occupied during his lifetime. When you see him sitting behind a desk on TV…that’s the desk I saw. :D Pretty cool, right? Walt Disney’s office includes many cherished Disney items, memorabilia and awards that he won during his time as the supervisor over Disney and all it’s properties. You can just imagine the work and time that Walt Disney himself put into making the company one of the best entertainment businesses in the world.
