Celebrating Our Anniversary At Bullfish Grill In Pigeon Forge

February 26, 2017 by Jay Crawford

Celebrating Our Anniversary At Bullfish Grill In Pigeon Forge

Dawn and I recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe that it has been 10 years since we said “I do” to each other. We have had some great times during those 10 years and I look forward to many, many more. Anyway, I am getting off track here. The thing is, when we decided to celebrate our anniversary, we knew exactly where we wanted to go. One of our favorite vacation destinations, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, was the obvious choice. On our way into town, Dawn asked me to choose a place for us to eat. I had always seen the Bullfish Grill and thought that it looked pretty nice. Before we left I had researched it a bit and found that the menu was both good looking and not too pricey. So, that’s where I chose to go.

Celebrating Our Anniversary At Bullfish Grill

We stopped into the Bullfish Grill for lunch. It was very nice on the inside, with fireplaces encased in glass on either side of the hostess stand and small lamps lighting each table. It looked romantic. So I thought that was perfect for an anniversary lunch. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. She gave us great service for the entirety of our visit. I wish I had thought to ask her name before we left so that I could have recommended her.

They start you off with an order of bread, which I guess you could say is an appetizer (of course, you can order appetizers from the menu as well). I thought the bread was sourdough, but Dawn says she thinks it tasted like Irish soda bread, but neither of us was certain. Either way, it was sooo good. It was soft and moist and had a bit of a salty flavor that I really enjoyed. I ate mine before before my meal came and Dawn used hers to dip in the gravy on her meal.

Meatloaf Stack

A hearty portion of our home-style meatloaf stacked aside white cheddar mashed potatoes, smothered in wild mushroom gravy and topped with tobacco onions. $10.99

Dawn ordered the Meatloaf Stack, which came with meatloaf covered in brown gravy on top of white cheddar mashed potatoes, all topped with onion strings. I can be totally honest here because one of the things that Dawn and I like to do when we go to a restaurant like this is to try a bite off of each other’s plates so that we can compare. I am not a huge fan of meatloaf. Usually I turn my nose up to it, but when I took my bite of hers, I instantly wished that I had ordered it. It was so good. The meat practically melted in my mouth. Of course, Dawn doesn’t eat as much as I do (I am a big eater), so I was very pleased when she offered for me to finish her meal off for her after she had gotten what she wanted of it. ๐Ÿ˜€

We decided to try a new to us restaurant in Pigeon Forge. Look at Jay's Cilantro Lime Chicken and Steamed Broccoli. Grilled Cilantro-Lime Chicken

Juicy cilantro-lime marinated chicken, grilled to perfection. Paired with fresh steamed broccoli. 10.99

I ordered the Grilled Cilantro-Lime Chicken that came with steamed broccoli. It was very tasty, too. I had a hard time choosing which meal was better. I loved them both. The broccoli on my plate had some kind of seasoning added to it. I wasn’t able to pinpoint what it was, but it made the steamed broccoli taste even better. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the cilantro-lime seasoning was great on top of it. Both meals were a decent sized portion without being too much, too.

Final Thoughts On Bullfish Grill

As I mentioned earlier, the price was not bad here. After the price of our meals {we drank water}, tax and tip, we spent around $30. For such a great meal, we felt that was a great price. I would highly recommend the Bullfish Grill in Pigeon Forge, TN to anyone visiting the area. I think you will find it is a great place to eat when you are in the area. We have a group of restaurants that we like to visit while in the area, and Bullfish Grill will definitely be part of that list from now on.
