Mellow Mushroom Review {Pigeon Forge, TN} #MellowMushroom AD

Mellow Mushroom Review {Pigeon Forge, TN} #MellowMushroom ADEat Play Rock

On a recent trip to Pigeon Forge, we stopped in at Mellow Mushroom for dinner. Jay and I had been there before so we already knew we loved it, but his mom had never been so we decided to take her along, as well. We decided to try a variety of things {some that we had tried before and some that we hadn’t} so that you could get an idea of what all they serve at Mellow Mushroom in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Ok, so our meal was comped, but I am still hunting the prices up for you on their online menu so that you can get an idea of what it would cost for you to eat at Mellow Mushroom. Prices do change though, so keep that in mind and take this as a ballpark figure.

Pretzels

Fresh Mellow dough twisted into pretzels and covered in garlic butter and Parmesan, with a side of red sauce.

I have gotten these before and they are my absolute favorite thing on the menu. A whole order is 6 pretzels and they are similar to the nice, soft ones that you get at fairs, except the ones at Mellow Mushroom are better. They are really big, so we all shared them and then ended up taking some home with us to enjoy later. Soooo good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Price: $8.99

Greek Salad

Romaine and iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, red cabbage, onions, cucumbers, green peppers, mushrooms, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, Roma tomatoes, pepperoncini and banana peppers.

I ordered the Greek Salad. I have tried a lot of Greek Salads in my day, and I find that it’s really hard to find a good one. This one was really great. I loved how many peppers came on it and the variety. I also got the house dressing and thought it was better than the Ranch that I would typically have chosen. The Greek Salad was full of toppings and not one of those salads where there is a huge bowl full of lettuce with a sprinkling of stuff on top to cover up like I have gotten at some other places. Don’t you hate that? Mellow Mushroom’s Greek Sald is fabulous and very filling. I would definitely get it again.

Price: $8.99

Mighty Meaty Pizza

Red sauce base with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham & Applewood smoked bacon.

Jay ordered the Mighty Meaty Pizza and Peggy and I also tried it. We all agree that it was really good and that, for the price, it would be really hard to beat. It came with generous portions of meat, as you can see. It’s super annoying when you order a pizza that is supposed to feature a particular type of topping{s} and it is mostly sauce, crust and cheese. That was definitely not the case with this pizza. Plus Jay had plenty of leftovers. ๐Ÿ™‚

Price: Small: $12.99, Medium: $19.99, Large: $24.99

Steak And Cheese Calzone

Steak with onions, mushrooms, green peppers & mozzarella cheese.

Peggy ordered the Steak and Cheese Calzone. She said that it had lots of filling and the bread was nice and crusty. She said that all of the ingredients were cooked to perfection and that the sauce was also very good.

Price: $11.99

We would definitely all eat there again and Peggy really enjoyed her first trip. Though we are a group of adult who went {or we pretend to be}, we also think that Mellow Mushroom would be a great place to take kids. Mellow Mushroom has a ton of cool stuff to look at while you wait for your yummy food to arrive. And I love a good themed restaurant. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mellow Mushroom is so yummy. There are two in our town. We like that even my daughter, who has celiac disease, can eat there.

That is definitely a bonus. I hear that it can be difficult to find celiac friendly restaurants.
