Pitch Perfect 2 Movie Review #PitchPerfect2

July 24, 2015 by Amber

Pitch Perfect 2 Review #PitchPerfect2

Recently, I went to watch Pitch Perfect 2. I had loved the first one, so I couldn’t wait to see the second one. Starring Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect 2 follows the Barden Bellas as they go through a rough patch including some seriously humiliating performances. In order to save not only their image but the Barden Bellas group, they go head to head with the world’s most talented a cappella groups in the world.

Pitch Perfect 2 Review

I thought the movie was pretty funny – which could be expected based upon the first one. Although, I do think the first one was a bit funnier. To me, Pitch Perfect 2 seemed a bit rushed and thrown together. The whole movie was go go go! I liked that the first Pitch Perfect not only followed the music, but also some romance and such was added as well. In the second one there is romance, but quite a bit less – which some of you may like better. I also didn’t like that Anna Kendrick’s boyfriend in the movie, “Jesse”, was hardly even in the movie. If I remember correctly, I believe I saw him about five or so times.

Enough with the bad! There was a lot of good as well. My favorite thing about the movie was that you got to hear a ton of new songs performed. Pitch Perfect 2 showed a new a cappella group that I thought was really talented and it was fun to get to see them perform some great songs. Also, you even get to see a football team (no spoilers) perform an iconic Destiny’s Child song, so I’m sure you can imagine the laughs were endless. I thought Rebel Wilson’s character was quite a bit funner in Pitch Perfect 2, if that’s even possible. I did really enjoy this sequel, and I think anyone who loved the first one as much as I did should go see Pitch Perfect 2.

I thought it could have been funnier.. I found that a few scenes dragged on a bit. I liked that I got to know more about the other characters. I think Rebel “made” the movie …lol. She’s super funny
