Paul Rudd Gets A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

July 5, 2015 by Dawn McAlexander

Paul Rudd Gets A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

On July 1st, Paul Rudd received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The Hollywood Walk Of Fame is located in front of the historic El Capitan Theatre. Some of his friends were on hand for this exciting event including his Ant-Man Director Peyton Reed and co-star Michael Douglas. Personally, I don’t know why he didn’t have one before. He has been around forever and does really awesome work. But, whatever, he has one now. 🙂

Paul Rudd has been in many movies and TV shows over the years. Personal favorites of mine were his role as Phoebe’s man, Mike Hannigan in Friends, his guest appearances on Saturday Night Live, his role as Brian Fantana in Anchorman and his cameo in This Is The End.

You can next see Paul Rudd in Ant-Man, which will hit theaters on July 17th. Check out the trailer below.

Watch The Ant-Man Trailer

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, Wood Harris as Gale, Judy Greer as Maggie, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym. Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, p.g.a., Marvel’s “Ant-Man” delivers a high-stakes, tension-filled adventure on July 17, 2015.

Oh, he is so handsome! It’s nice that he finally has a star. I agree that he’s been there forever and I wonder, too why he didn’t get it soon.

I am so excited about Ant-Man. I’ve only ever really seen Paul Rudd in a comedic roll, so I’m interested in seeing how he pulls off being a super hero. If the trailers are any indication, he was a great choice!

I have loved Paul Rudd for a long time! Actually, ever since Picture Perfect with Jennifer Aniston! I am surprised that he didn’t have one already and disappointed that he had to star in a Marvel movie to get one.

How exciting would getting a star on Hollywood Blvd be? It seems a lot of people are now getting stars before their time! I think it is sad a legend is getting a star and I have never heard of them! Then again, they have never heard of me either! lol

Cool. He deserves a star. He’s instantly recognizable, and I think he does a good job in his movies too.

I really do like Paul Rudd – especially as Mike in Friends. I do think they’re starting to give out these stars as if they’re going out of fashion though, I saw one was given to someone whose name I didn’t even recognise not too long ago :/

I think you are right. There are a lot of people that have them that I think could have gotten one in a few years. I was shocked that Paul Rudd didn’t have one already, though, as I think his is well deserved. It reminds me of the induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I wonder who decides these things?

I have to say that I am surprised that he got a start on the walk of fame. Not that he’s a bad actor but I never thought he was a great actor by any means.

What a nice accomplishment for Paul Rudd. It must feel like a dream to have your own star.
