Dollywood 30th Anniversary Festivities #sponsored #Dollywood2015

Dolly Parton Performs During Dollywood 30th Anniversary SeasonEat Play Rock

A few days ago, I got to attend a press conference at Dollywood, where we got a sneak peek of what to expect for the Dollywood 30th Anniversary Season. Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and ever since I was little, I have always been a fan of Dolly Parton. She is an amazing singer, actor, and business owner, so I couldn’t wait to hear what she had planned for the upcoming year in celebration of the Dollywood 30th Anniversary.

What To Expect For The Dollywood 30th Anniversary Seaon

I remember going to Dollywood a few years back with my family. Dollywood is very family oriented with activities appropriate for all ages. This is not always the case at many theme parks I have experienced. Dolly Parton takes pride in her park being a place where families can come together and have a wonderful time and the Dollywood 30th Anniversary season promises even more family fun.

Dollywood DreamMore Resort

Dolly Parton spoke about the new DreamMore Resort that is set to open later this year. Dolly Parton spoke of continuing the tradition of affordability, while also offering great amenities and there will also be more upscale accommodations for guests who are interested in that option. Rooms will start at around $170 a night and reservations are being accepted now.

Showcase Of The Stars Concert Series

In order to celebrate the Dollywood 30th Anniversary, Parton added that Dollywood will be adding something new to their park every month this year. They will be bringing back the Showcases of the Stars Concert Series this year. Dolly will be kicking off the series herself. Many more artists will be involved, including Kenny Rogers later in the season. The goal is to use the concert series to raise $1,000,000 to then be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Festival Of Nations

The Festival of Nations will also continue in the Dollywood 30th Anniversary Season. The Festival of Nations allows you to see performers from all around the world, and luckily, we got a sample of that. Dolly Parton left the stage for a bit and allowed us to see three different groups perform: from Argentina, Canada, and Ireland. They all did amazingly well and it was great to get to hear and see song and dance from different cultures. I think seeing some of the performances from the Festival of Nations is definitely a must do for the whole family.

Where Can I See Dolly This Year?

Dolly Parton will not be touring in support of an album this year but she will be doing a few performances at Dollywood, and for charities and things of that nature. She also recently launched Dollyparton.com where you can get all kinds of information on her music, her projects and her life. She also started her own production company and will be doing several projects including TV movies and holiday specials this year, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

I love Dolly Parton. She is a force. Did you know she has a program where kids under 5 can get free reading books sent in the mail each month. And I mean really free. I think that is so cool. Yay Dolly. Plus, I love Dollywood too!
