Sex Tape Starring Cameron Diaz & Jason Segel #ad #SexTapeMovie

November 11, 2014 by Dawn McAlexander

Sex Tape starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel Review

Sex Tape is a comedy starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel. Annie (Cameron Diaz) and Jay (Jason Segal) are a married couple of ten years, who tries to rekindle the passion by making a 3 hour long sex tape. All is great, until they discover that the video was sent to a bunch of their friends and family. So to try to save themselves a lot of humiliation, they have to track down everyone the video was sent to and delete it before they watch it.

The Repercussions Of Making A Sex Tape

One couple learns a hard lesson. We emphasize the importance of not sexting with our teens but this lesson must have been lost on this couple. Granted sexting and making an actual sex take are hardly the same thing, it’s the same principle. When Annie and Jay realize that after making a family and focusing on their careers that sex has been put on the backburner, they decide to spice things up with a sex tape. However, the husband doesn’t delete it as he promised he would and it gets sent out to a bunch of friends. Eek.

I find it funny that people are that dumb. I mean, we hear of people getting their private pictures and films sent out across the net all the time {i.e. Erin Roberts}, but it usually isn’t because they did it themselves. I wouldn’t wish what this couple went through on anyone, but I admit, it is pretty funny to watch them trying to be all stealthy while trying to retrieve their videos. Plus, I think Cameron Diaz is super funny.

Thoughts On Sex Tape

This movie made me think of early Cameron Diaz movies like “There’s Something About Mary.” She is being kind of dumb and really hilarious, just like I love seeing her in movies. She plays that role so well and is super funny at it. Jay is kind of a schlub who wasn’t smart enough to delete the sex tape, lol, so I was a bit angry at him the entire movie. Sorry, I got to stick with my girl Cameron on this. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This movie is pretty funny, but be advised, it’s definitely for the adults.

I’ve really wanted to see this, I like a good ridiculous comedy that’s not too stupid. Naturally the guy wouldn’t delete it – I say cut him some slack, he’s had a rough history with women (Forgetting Sarah Marshall). I will take Cameron’s side when it comes to being angry. This is why I’d never, ever do anything like this, I’m so computer illiterate ‘disaster’ doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’ve loved Cameron since Something About Mary too, The Sweetest Thing and Bad Teacher weren’t great but if they’re on TV I’ll leave them playing.

While this seems like a great date night movie, there’s def a lesson to be learned on the subject. Don’t tape anything! Just enjoy the adult fun in the moment. LOL
