My mother and I always love getting together and watching quirky comedies that have a good story line to them. My mother, grandmother, and I all got together, with our favorite coffee in hand, and watched “Moms Night Out” a few nights ago. We like many of the actors in this movie, so we had pretty high expectations.
Moms Night Out Starring Sarah Drew And Patricia Heaton
My mother and I were interested in the movie mainly because it had Sarah Drew in it. We have loved her for a while thanks to our addiction to Grey’s Anatomy. The main (and well voiced) reason my grandmother wanted to watch “Moms Night Out” is because of her infatuation with Trace Adkins. Though we had not seen Trace Adkins act before, we all ended up very pleased with he and the other actors were portrayed in the movie.
“Moms Night Out” is about a mother who, thought she has a pretty supportive, though somewhat clueless husband {Sean Astin}, is faced with moments where she feels that she is just not good enough. In order to escape these thoughts, and the chaos of having small children, she and her other friends (including Patricia Heaton) decide to have a girls night out. Although Sarah Drew’s character went to great lengths to plan the perfect girls night, it just didn’t turn out that way.
My Final Thoughts On Moms Night Out
After watching “Moms Night Out,” my favorite actor was most definitely Trace Adkins. We were pleasantly surprised by his acting abilities. He played a role that is completely opposite of what I imagine he is like in real life – bad boy biker named “Bones,” who turned out to be not so bad after all.
Shout Out To The Bloggers
My mom loved the fact that the main character is a blogger. When she learns that she lost a fan overnight, my mom was like “I know that pain!” lol. Mom also thought that Sean Astin did a great job as the supportive husband. Even though he doesn’t seem to understand his wife’s struggles, he still tries to empathize with her. When he finally learns how hard her job really is he makes sure to tell her that he appreciates her.
This movie is very family friendly, so we highly recommend it for a family movie night. It’s also great for the girls. 🙂

Patricia Heaton is my favorite. She just looks like a ‘mom’ but still a fun person to hang out with, and her sensibility sense (ha, does that make sense) would be funny to see in the movie. I’m looking forward to it. Great cast.

I need to watch this. Knowing the main character is a blogger it should funny. It always cracks me up when I hear comments on tv about bloggers. They seem to usually be negative, but funny too. If they only knew how hard we really work…
This movie was cute but way too godly for me.

Mom’s Night Out looks like super funny comedy that I can’t wait to go see. It’s been awhile since have seen Patricia Heaton in anything and all the other celebs in the movie too.
Patricia Heaton is my favorite. I just like her style. I also like the other actors. Everyone works together well.
Wow! first time to hear this kind of movie, glad that the main character is a blogger to. I think the community needs to understand what bloggers do.
I agree with you on that! I think people have a lot of misconceptions as to what being a blogger means, lol.
Trace Adkins is awesome
Sean Astin is my favorite actor in this movie. My Brother-in-Law loves him, and by extension, I do, too. I always think of his character in “50 First Dates” whenever I see him or hear his name. He had such an entertaining role.
I think the movie looks cute and funny. My mom even wants to see it, and my daughter has liked Sean Astin since Goonies. A good movie for us girls.
I have a question – does commenting or entering a giveaway from Cheap is the New Classy cross over to these giveaways. Meaning if I enter Cheap is the New Classy’s Just Fab does it count towards this one. Thank you.
Sure does. If you comment on any of my blogs that works for me. 🙂
I like Sean Astin and Patricia Heaton in this film since I’m a fan of their previous work 🙂
I love Patricia Heaton and also Trace Adkins. I did see the movie and their interactions together were really funny. I love to laugh……better than crying.

I really want to see this movie with my daughter, it looks like it would have a lot of laughs.
The clip had me LOL’ing several times. That is saying something as I am tough to get a chuckle out of. I loved the end clip where the cop accidentally tazers the prim lady. That was NOT supposed it happen! hehehehe
I like Patricia Heaton. I’ve always liked her since I saw her on Everyone Loves Raymond. She portrays a good mom and is one, according to the lines she given, doesn’t take any ‘crap’ from anyone lol
This looks like a cute movie, I like Trace Adkins & Patricia Heaton. I would enjoy watching this with my husband, my SIL would like it too.
