Steve Miller Band Setlist: Greensboro, NC

June 30, 2024 by Dawn McAlexander

Steve Miller Band Setlist: Greensboro, NC

I have been to Steven Tanger Center three or four times now and I can’t stress what a lovely venue it is. This is definitely one of my favorite places to see artists perform. We got to see the Steve Miller Band perform there on June 16th and it truly was a wonderful experience all the way around. To be fair, as long as they sang “Jet Airliner” and “Take The Money And Run,” I probably would have thought the concert perfect anyway. Check out the Steve Miller Band setlist below and see if they perform your faves!

Steve Miller said that the song, “Shu Ba Da Du Ma Ma Ma” was inspired by the sounds of Santana and he dedicated the night’s performance to him. Miller continued later in the setlist with the dedications, stating that he learned some of his first chords from Les Paul and he dedicated the night’s performance of “Jet Airliner” to him.

I am currently working on a Top 10 Concerts of 2024 post which I will be editing throughout the year. Unless there are some real “knock it out of the park” concerts, this one is DEFINITELY making the list. The sound is just perfect at Steven Tanger Center. And the Steve Miller Band sounds just like they do on their records. The lighting is gorgeous and my pictures really don’t even come close to doing it justice. Its always been a really chill crowd in this venue, too, so you can sit back, relax, and really enjoy the show.

I am the one that typically buys the concert t-shirts. I don’t remember Kenny purchasing one ever, actually, until the Steve Miller concert. He said that this was one of his favorite concerts EVER and that the shirt really spoke to him. He bought the white one with the joker on the back. I was just whining in another post about how artists never have lapel pins and how I collect them and am always disappointed that I never find any. The Steve Miller Band actually had lapel pins at their merchandise table!!! Yay! Two more pins for my board – and they are the creepy looking joker, so that is pretty funny.

Parking, Amenities & Accessibility

I never seen anyone have issues with accessibility at Steven Tanger Center. Parking is directly in front of the venue and I have always been able to find a great, close spot. This lot does have a fee of $25. There might be cheaper places to leave your car elsewhere but, for me, it’s not worth the walk or, more importantly, my forgetting where my vehicle is, lol. I will definitely lose my car. Trust. There are elevators in the venue and tons of bathrooms that have always been nice and clean, with plenty of soap, paper towels and hot water, in my experience. The venue seats are roomy, with drink holders, so you don’t have to sit your beverage on the floor and hope someone doesn’t kick it over. Seating for wheelchairs is nice, like everyone else’s. I have seen wheelchair/accessible seating with obstructed views in other venues and, honestly, that’s just not cool. We were seated in Orchestra Center, Row N, seats 29 and 30, to give you an idea on where to sit in relation to what you think of our seats.

There are food carts in the lobby with drinks [soda, water, alcohol], hot pretzels, fruit and more. I will be having one of those lovely pretzels one day and I will share a picture and pricing with you when I do! We have purchased sodas and I think they were about $4 each, which is about the average at concerts that we have attended recently. They also let you keep your soda bottle lids at Steven Tanger Center. Some places have started taking the lids and I find that super annoying/weird. These venues tell us the reasoning behind that is that sometimes people will throw a full drink at the stage. What is wrong with people? Personally, I believe idiots caught doing this should receive a lifetime ban and be arrested for assault instead of all of us getting punished proactively. Have they considered the real danger of someone roofying another’s drink? I would rather keep my lid and act like a classy individual and then snitch on the other people who can’t/won’t abide by the rules. Yes, if I see you try to nail one of my artists in the head with a full drink, I will most certainly report you to security. 100%.
