If you are looking for a good movie to take the kids to this weekend, then here’s a review of the DreamWorks film, Home. This film is mainly for children, however some of the adults in our audience may enjoy it as well. And, for those of you that may not be aware of this movie, it’s an animated film, just to let you know before you head out to the theater to see it.
DreamWorks Home Plot
Home features the vocal talents of Jim Parsons as Oh, Rihanna as Tip, Steve Martin as Captain Smek and Jennifer Lopez as Tip’s mother, Lucy, along with many other talents. Home is about the lovable but bumbling alien Oh, a member of the race of aliens called Boovs. When the Boovs come to Earth to relocate humans and take over the cities for themselves, Oh wants to celebrate by throwing a party. However, he angers all the Boovs when he accidentally sends his e-vites to his party, complete with directions, to everyone in the universe, including their enemy, the Gorg.
Oh then goes on the run from his own people, when he meets a human girl that was missed in the relocation process and is alone in the city, looking for her mother. Her name is Gratuity “Tip” Tucci. Tip is accompanied only by her cat, Pig. She is not pleased with Oh, because it is his race that has separated she and her mother. Oh offers to help her find her mother, although he is actually just trying to escape his own race. He rebuilds Tip’s mother’s car into a hoover craft complete with GPS. Tip sets the GPS to Paris, the Boov world headquarters site, but Oh keeps resetting it to Antarctica, the only continent on the planet not inhabited by the Boov.
Along the way, when Tip finally convinces Oh to go to Paris, the two develop a friendship that is complicated by their different beliefs. They are continuously hunted by Captain Smek and the Boovs, who want Oh erased. Their adventures are funny and, at times, really emotional.
My Thoughts On Home
I thought Home was a great movie for children. It teaches some great lessons about friendship and love that all children should learn. The movie also features a pretty good soundtrack that all ages will love. So, if it’s a family movie you are looking for, then you should definitely give Home a try. It’s a very nice family film.

sounds like the perfect movie for kids and families. The lessons that it sounds they will learn are very important for life
