    I love tea and this giveaway is perfect for summer. As for the question above, I don’t think e-readers will make printed books obsolete. I feel that although e-readers are convenient, there’s something about sitting on a bench under a tree with a paperback book that just can’t be replaced. At least, not for me.

    I have an e-reader and love it. That being said I still enjoy going to the library or the book store and handling an actual book. The library has a peaceful, relaxing quality that just makes me want to sit in a chair and read a book (which I frequently do). I currently have a book in progress on my e-reader and a hard copy book. Love both and hope neither goes away. They each serve a different purpose. I am trying to instill a love of books in my grandchildren and so far they are cooperating.

    I hope e-readers do not make books obsolete. Both the e-readers and actual books both have their pros, but to replace actual books would be horrible.

    I surely hope they don’t! I love the feel of a real book and turning the pages,not to mention the lovely book smell!

    I don’t think that books will become completely obsolete; too many people like the tactile aspect of a book with paper in it, the smell, etc. Also, travellers still use paper books because it’s a real pain when you lose your Kindle or get your Nook stolen somewhere. Also, books don’t need electricity or a recharge!

    E-readers are great for travel as well – you can take an endless amount with you as opposed to taking a lot of books. Regardless, real books have been around for centuries and I hope they will continue to be.

    I do not think that ereaders will eliminate the need for actual books.

    With an actual book, you can hear the crackle of the page as it turns, you can smell the leather in a hardcover book… these things can not be found in an E-reader. There’s nothing like an actual book.

    E-readers are real convenient to take with you on the go. The great thing about them is you can take so many with you in your e-readers. Granted actual books that would be difficult to do, but I don’t think they will ever be obsolete.

    E-readers will never replace actual books if I have anything to do with it! 🙂 I love my Kindle, but nothing beats a book in your hands, particularly those ‘special’ books you’ve been waiting a year+ for. (Hint, hint, Laurie R. King!)

    One thing that’s definitely a “con” with E-readers and that is if you drop it, it usually doesn’t work any more. If you drop a book, that is not the case.
