Put the word “steakhouse” out there when you are asking me where I want to eat, and I will pick it ten times out of ten. However, a Brazilian steakhouse seems even more intriguing. Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, did not disappoint. In a word, it was delicious. I could think of several other adjectives to describe our experience at Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse as well; fabulous, fun, exciting and tasty come to mind right off the bat.
Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse is a steakhouse, yes, but in the tradition of the way food is served in Brazil, known as Churrascaria. If you have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, here’s how it works. Once you are seated, you begin by going to the salad bar. The one at Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse has several items (if I remember correctly our server said there were over 36 items) including not only fresh greens and salad toppings, but also several cheeses such as mozzarella and baby swiss, as well as fresh sushi and shrimp. Our daughter loves sushi and doesn’t have it often, so she was especially pleased to find this on the salad bar.
After you have finished with the salad bar, you have a token on your table that resembles a coaster. It has a red side and a green side. When you are ready for meat, you then turn the token up to the green side, and the servers, known as “Gauchos”, will bring skewers of fresh meat right to your table. Once you have enough meat, turn your token back to red, and they will stop coming over.
The selection is almost too much to handle. From fresh sirloin to filet mignon cooked to your choice of temperatures, bacon-wrapped chicken to fresh cuts of lamb, it is a meat lover’s dream. All this is served with a side of fried bananas and mashed potatoes. Oh, and be sure to try the grilled pineapple. It is heavenly!
It was easy for all of use to find something that we loved at Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse. We all had such a great time and great food that we honestly could not find anything bad to say about our experience there. The service was wonderful, very attentive, and they took care of our every need. And the food. Ahhh, the food was magnificent.
Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse is a bit pricey but it’s comparable in price to any of the area seafood buffets, and tastes WAY better. It is well worth the price. Trust. The dessert is not included in the price but you must also try one of the many heavenly looking desserts. The New York Cheesecake and the White and Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake come highly recommended by us. I can almost guarantee that you will not find a better meal anywhere in Myrtle Beach. It was definitely our favorite.

It sounds like they make some amazing food there. I would love to eat there if I make it down to that area.
This food looks SO yummy! I’m going to Myrtle Beach over the summer, I’ll be sure to check this place out!
Definitely do! And if you think about it, please come back and let us know what you thought.
My husband is a big meat eater, and I am sure he would adore this place. I will have to check it out soon!
wow. i wouldn’t know what to order. i love brazilian food. and steak. and they have it all. i’d need elastic waist pants.
That’s the cool thing. You don’t have to order. They just bring skewers to your table and you choose what you want then.
So, what the manager suggested we do was to get a little of a couple things and eat it while it was hot and then get more. So, that is what we did. That is definitely what I would suggest to others. I tried the chicken wrapped in bacon and the filet mignon. I am a huge chicken fan, so that was my favorite, but my daughter and husband both liked the flank steak best of what they tried. But there were so many things that we didn’t even get to try because we got full, lol.
The food looks wonderful I would definitely try out Rioz based on your recommendation.
I absolutely adore Brazilian Steakhouses! They have the best food and such an amazing atmosphere!
We had never actually been to one before. I am so glad that we got to try this one out. We will definitely go back!
That sounds so good. The food looks fabulous. I wish there was one in Pennsylvania!
My husband would be all over that steak, but I think I wouldn’t be able to pass up that pie.
Oh my goodness this all looks so good! Mouth watering!
My husband would love to chomp down on a steak right about now! ๐
I’ve yet to try Brazilian food but this looks fantastic. I love tasting foods from around the world and now I think I might just have to get to a Brazilian restaurant sooner.
I love the way that food is served at a Brazilian steakhouse! It looks like quite the experience!
I’ve never been to a Brazilian steak house or even heard of one before! That food looks amazing!
Everything looks delicious. I would love to dine there at least once.
That looks delicious. They certainly do have an amazing selection!
Pricey is fine when you only go out a few times a year and really want to enjoy your food. This seems like a great place to eat.
I agree! I love going somewhere pricey and extra tasty when it’s something special, like birthday, date night, etc. Totally worth it! ๐
what amazing dishes! i’d love to try a bit of everything. food looks so fresh and appetizing. what a great place to meet friends and have great food and conversation.
WOW, this looks amazing. I love trying new foods and usually reserve places like this for date night. No expense spared.

We have been to a few Brazilian steakhouses. They are sooooo amazing! I just eat myself silly!
We have gone to a similar restaurant before and the food was amazing and neverending! I needed about 5 extra stomachs – there was no way I could try everything I wanted at one sitting. It was so good!
Haha! That reminds me of ALF! Didn’t he have like 13 stomachs or something like that?
Sounds like a really great experience and a delicious meal.
Wow, this looks like a unique place to eat! So many delicious things going on, I might have to get dessert first! Yum!
Oh my goodness. I haven’t been to a Brazilian steakhouse since we lived in Los Angeles. We would regularly hit the Brazilian steakhouse in Vegas – never walking away hungry. There aren’t any around here but we were just telling the kids about the process the other day and they want to go now. I don’t even remember a salad bar or dessert though… seriously just remember endless skewers of meats of all kinds.
It’s crazy. The meat is the big thing there, but that salad bar is so good, that it’s really hard to save room. Ah, but you have to. And you have to save even more for dessert. It’s a dilemma, lol.
Brazilian steakhouses are the BOMB. I haven’t been to one in a while, but I just love them. That place looks beautiful!!
Looks like some amazing dishes. The meats look so tender
I am sitting here starving and had to stumble across this on your blog. That looks amazing and I really wish I could go enjoy this right now! Hopefully soon.
Jay wrote it and I got to edit the pictures for it while I was starving last night, lol. I feel your pain.
What a great looking selection of food! I’m not a big fan of steak, but I’d be all over those desserts, especially the New York Cheesecake. It looks delicious.
Oh my gosh that food looks crazy delicious. I wish we had a location out here, in California.
Sounds delish! I recently had my first Brazilian Steak House experience at a place called Texas de Brazil in Tampa. Oh my goodness, was it ever good! This one looks similar!
That one sounds great, too. I will have to check it out if I ever get down that way. ๐
That looks like a fabulous place to eat! My boyfriend loves steak, I bet he’d like this place.
The food from this steakhouse is making my mouth water!! What delicious looking spreads they offer guests!! Yum!
Its nice to just have fun and not worry about what you are eating. I love to go to our buffet style place and fill the plate up. lol
Wow, it looks like they really know how to make and present a meal. I have zero doubt my husband would do flips to get to eat there. ๐
