Headphones~
These days everyone likes to listen to their own mix of music and not listen to the radio. Sure, radio is still very popular, but the younger generation is becoming increasingly less and less dependent on radio stations for their music. It’s all about freedom of choice. Everyday you see more and more people jogging with headphones in their ears. But, what about when they get home? Do they still use those annoying headphones? That can be very rude to others around you, not to mention uncomfortable and dangerous to your hearing.
Headphones Are Not Required
Fortunately, there are several ways to play your music from your iphone, ipod, mp3 player or smart phone through a stereo in the home that make it to where listeners don’t have to wear those annoying headphones or ear buds. The most common way is to use a cable with a standard headphone jack plug on each end. One end will plug into the player (smart phone, mp3 player, ipod, etc) and the other end plugs into an auxiliary jack on the stereo. Even most newer vehicles come equipped with an auxiliary jack for plugging in various listening devices. However, most auxiliary jacks are not standard headphone jacks on a home stereo, therefore a cable that goes from the standard headphone plug on one end to a RCA style plug on the other may be required.
Other Listening Methods
There are also several different types of docking stations that allow listeners to hook their listening devices into them directly and control their music via the actual listening device itself. Similar options include bluetooth enabled sound platforms, which can be used completely wirelessly by connecting through your smart phone’s Bluetooth connection and streaming your existing playlist in that manner. Many of these platforms allow you to still use your phone while listening to your playlist, as well as control the platform, all from the comfort of your couch.
Another method is to get a set of computer speakers with a standard headphone plug on the end and connect into the headphone jack of the device you are listening from. This is perhaps the easiest and cheapest means of listening to your music without headphones.
The point is that there are several methods of listening to your favorite music mix from your favorite listening device in your home. So, if those headphones annoy the crap out of you, but you still want to listen to your music, then there are still several options available to you. Just pick your favorite and start listening!
There are so many ways to listen to music now a days compared to when I was younger. Turn on a radio or TV or record player and thats was about it. I like how everything is so much smaller and easy to carry and you can play just your favorite songs.
I’m an old fogey when it comes to music – I hate ear buds and am not fond of headphones. I have a blue tooth speaker that I like to use.
I listen to music on the Kindle. I also have a blue tooth speaker, which works with the phone, kindle, and computer.
We love our bluetooth speaker, it is so easy to move around the house.
I’m so old school, I prefer a good old CD player! Actually, I really enjoying tossing a record onto our player – I just don’t terribly love switching it to the next side, lol. Headphones do annoy me, only because I love blasting music and dancing around with my kids – they may disagree with my dancing part though.
Nice idea but I think some melody is made for earphones. You can’t feel them if you don’t listen with earphone. Its my personal opinion. This thought may vary person to person. Anyway thanks for this post.
