Is your sweet tooth craving something different? Tired of the same old cookies and snack cakes? Make some banana pudding! I got this #TastyTuesday recipe for the best banana pudding I have ever tasted from my girl Pam Wattenbarger. She and her daughter, Brittany, are the authors of “The New Southern Cookbook,” where you can find more yummy recipes just like this to wow your friends with.

The Best Banana Pudding In Just 10 Minutes

Ok, Pam’s recipe is just a smidge different than what I ended up making. With the current limited availability of certain groceries, I used what I was able to acquire and it still turned out fabulously. You can find her recipe here.

Ingredients

2 1oz packages vanilla pudding mix [I used sugar free & fat free]

1 8oz package frozen whipped topping

4 bananas [mine were a little ripe but not “banana bread” ripe]

2.5 cups regular almond milk [I used unsweetened]

1 cup sour cream [I would have preferred to have used fat free but it wasn’t available. I will try that next time and comment if there is a taste difference.]

Vanilla wafers

Instructions

Pour both packs of pudding mix into a bowl and add the almond milk. Stir with a whisk until completely blended.

Next, add the sour cream and the whipped topping. This will be harder to stir because the whipped topping is frozen, but that’s ok, leave it frozen. I find that smashing it with a spoon against the side of the bowl will help break the whipped topping down faster and help you vent your frustrations in a healthy manner. Free therapy. 😉 Or thaw it some. Whichever.

Pour half of the pudding mixture into a 9″ by 9″ baking dish.

Cut up the bananas and add them to the dish, on top of the pudding mixture.

Next, add enough vanilla wafers to cover the bananas.

Pour the rest of the pudding mix over the dish and add a few vanilla wafers to garnish. Put the dish in the fridge and serve after it completely sets. I like to make it at night and serve it the next day. Enjoy!
