Ah, summer movies. Ah, Johnny Depp as some cool character that will inspire many a Halloween costume. I am so pleased to bring you some cool stuff from Disney’s The Lone Ranger, coming to theaters this July 3rd. From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

“The Lone Ranger” also stars a lot of other high profile actors and actresses including Tom Wilkinson and Helena Bonham Carter. I remember watching reruns of the TV series growing up, so I do know a very little bit about what the original series story line was about. Regardless, I think that Johnny Depp is a phenomenal actor, especially when it comes to roles like this where he gets all dressed up in character and looking super cool. I really think that he will make a great Tonto.
