My mother and I always love getting together and watching quirky comedies that have a good story line to them. My mother, grandmother, and I all got together, with our favorite coffee in hand, and watched “Moms Night Out” a few nights ago. We like many of the actors in this movie, so we had pretty high expectations.
Moms Night Out Starring Sarah Drew And Patricia Heaton
My mother and I were interested in the movie mainly because it had Sarah Drew in it. We have loved her for a while thanks to our addiction to Grey’s Anatomy. The main (and well voiced) reason my grandmother wanted to watch “Moms Night Out” is because of her infatuation with Trace Adkins. Though we had not seen Trace Adkins act before, we all ended up very pleased with he and the other actors were portrayed in the movie.
“Moms Night Out” is about a mother who, thought she has a pretty supportive, though somewhat clueless husband {Sean Astin}, is faced with moments where she feels that she is just not good enough. In order to escape these thoughts, and the chaos of having small children, she and her other friends (including Patricia Heaton) decide to have a girls night out. Although Sarah Drew’s character went to great lengths to plan the perfect girls night, it just didn’t turn out that way.
My Final Thoughts On Moms Night Out
After watching “Moms Night Out,” my favorite actor was most definitely Trace Adkins. We were pleasantly surprised by his acting abilities. He played a role that is completely opposite of what I imagine he is like in real life – bad boy biker named “Bones,” who turned out to be not so bad after all.
Shout Out To The Bloggers
My mom loved the fact that the main character is a blogger. When she learns that she lost a fan overnight, my mom was like “I know that pain!” lol. Mom also thought that Sean Astin did a great job as the supportive husband. Even though he doesn’t seem to understand his wife’s struggles, he still tries to empathize with her. When he finally learns how hard her job really is he makes sure to tell her that he appreciates her.
This movie is very family friendly, so we highly recommend it for a family movie night. It’s also great for the girls. 🙂

This movie looks like a good comedy. I haven't had a good laugh in quite some time, and I'm due for one. Going to Netflix, to see if they have this on demand and watch it.
