The Beguiled Official Trailer #TheBeguiled

As I write this, I am in Beverly Hills, California! Why? Because on Sunday {I am still on North Carolina time, people, so my “clock” is messed up, lol} I will get to screening the new movie The Beguiled, directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning. After the screening, I will get to interview Sofia Coppola, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning. Check out the trailer and, if you have anything that you would like for me to try to ask any of them, let me know in the comment section below.

The Beguiled Official Trailer

World-premiering at the 2017 Cannes International Film Festival, “The Beguiled” is an atmospheric thriller from acclaimed writer/director Sofia Coppola. The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls’ boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier. As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events.

Director: Sofia Coppola is perhaps best known for “Lost in Translation” and “Somewhere.” I really loved the movie “The Bling Ring” that was written, directed and produced by her as well.

Writer: Sofia Coppola, based on the novel by Thomas Cullinan and the screenplay by Albert Maltz and Grimes Grice. There was also a version starring Clint Eastwood and I am hearing that they are each from different perspectives – one from the male and one from the female, so I am very much looking forward to seeing both.

Cast: Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, Oona Laurence, Angourie Rice, Addison Riecke, Emma Howard

The Beguiled has an MPAA Rating of R and premiers in New York and LA on June 23, 2017 and to a wider audience on June 30, 2017.
