My Pirates Of The Caribbean Red Carpet & Pre-Party Experience In Hollywood #PiratesLifeEvent

On Thursday night, I got to go the Red Carpet Premiere of Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in Hollywood. The event was held at the Dolby Theatre, the same place where the Oscars are held. I had never been to Los Angeles before, or California, for that matter, so this was a really cool night for me for so many reasons. I actually got to walk the Pirates Of The Caribbean Red Carpet, I attended the pre-party and then I got to see Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in 3D! So be sure to also check out my movie review. So, now let me share with you my Pirates Of The Caribbean Red Carpet experience.

My Pirates Of The Caribbean Red Carpet Experience

Ok, so I always thought that a “red carpet” was always red and that it was just this line that stars walked down to get to the movie premiere. So, allow me to clear up these myths that I feel some of you might have as well. The Pirates Of The Caribbean Red Carpet was, in actuality, blue. 🙂 And it is kind of like a cordoned off maze that you walk through with tons and, I mean tons, of photo opportunities all along the way. Only certain people are allowed in, but others can watch from the Hollywood CityWalk stores and public areas. So, naturally, there were lots of people waiting for stars to show up and walk the carpet. I wonder how many people saw us bloggers walk on the red carpet and think, “Who are those people?” haha!

There were tons of “pirates” that you could get your pictures made with. I loved this. There were pirate jugglers, stilt walkers, and more. It was kind of like being at a fair or circus. So, whether you see any stars or not, there is still a lot to be entertained by. This one particular pirate walked by me with a big sword and ran it across my leg while saying, “Sliiiiiice,” in a super menacing way. And I was, “Ouch! You got me!”

After we walked the red carpet and took a ton of pictures, we walked into the Pirates Of The Caribbean Pre-Party. This was in the Dolby Theatre and there were 4 floors to check out! It’s a lot to take in and I am not sure how anyone could do it all. On one floor, there were stations where you could get your makeup done and temporary pirates tattoos. I really wanted to get a “tattoo” but I was too busy doing stuff like this…

…yes, that is Jon Voight! I have to say, he was really nice and it was super cool of him to accommodate us bloggers by taking pictures with us. I think we all got one with him. 🙂

I also was super starstruck by Giles Marini. I have liked him since he played Samantha’s man on Sex and the City. He was also very nice and has such an amazing accent.

There were lots of other stars there, some I recognized and some I did not. Some I met, some I did not. I just wanted to share a couple of my faves. 🙂 And, don’t worry, the stars from Pirate Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales were there, too. But you will have to check out my movie review to see those pictures. 😉
