Bad Moms Movie Review #BadMoms #PartyLikeAMother

Moms: if you haven’t seen Bad Moms yet, you need to. Leave the kiddos at home. This is for you. So, let daddy babysit, get dressed up, grab your girls and hit the theater this weekend. Or go by yourself. That’s what I did. I love going to movies by myself. I can sit wherever I want and get there early enough to see every, single preview. Yaaaas! 😀

Bad Moms Movie Review

Amy {Mila Kunis} is an overachieving mom with equally overachieving kids. Then she discovers something quite disturbing about her husband which makes her reflect on her life. Also fed up with her incompetent boss {Clark Duke} who doesn’t appreciate her, Amy finally reaches her breaking point after being bullied by the PTA President {Christina Applegate} and her lapdog gang {Jada Pinkett Smith & Annie Mumolo} for far too long. Amy and her friends {Kristen Bell & Kathryn Hahn} then decide to take a much deserved break by being Bad Moms.

My Thoughts

Oh, Kathryn Hahn.. you delicate flower – NOT! I LOVE LOVE LOVED her in this movie. Freakin’ hilarious! I am not sure how many of you have seen this movie yet, but she stole the show. Everyone was great, but she kept me dying. Literally. Every single line. She plays a character that is totally and un-apologetically just who she is. She is really all about saying whatever she wants, whenever she wants, no matter how crude or sexual harassy-ish. The guys she encounter seem equal parts uncomfortable and intrigued by her. And it’s hilarious to watch.

This movie has an R rating, but it’s definitely not as offensive {for lack of a better word} as Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates. I said that some people would be offended by that movie {though I found it funny} but I really don’t think these movies are on the same R level. There is some nudity in Bad Moms but it doesn’t last for long – so if that offends you, that’s all I can really think of. I found this movie so hilarious. In looking around the internet, I have seen several people mention it in the same sentence as The Hangover in terms of how funny it is. I can see that. I loved The Hangover when it came out and still do, so I am thinking Bad Moms will resonate with me, too.

  • my husband saw this without me, he said it was really good and funny. Well if its about moms then mom should go lol.

    • Oh my! That is pretty funny. He totally should have either taken you or watch the kids and let you go.

  • Loved that movie!!! Perfect for a girls night out. I already want to see it again :)

  • I. Love. This. Movie. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see women break out of the predetermined role and just say... emm, no. Love it.

    • For real! I love that these women don't have to act like perfect moms who have not a wish in the world but to meet all of their husband's and children's needs. Moms have lives, too. :)

  • I haven't seen it yet but I am dying to! So many people are loving it! I need to get a group of women out to see it with me.

  • I have yet to see this movie but I can't wait! I need to get a group of my girlfriends together so we can watch it together.

  • Glad that you enjoyed the movie and found it hilarious! I am sure so many moms will enjoy it and laugh at the similarities to their own crazy lives!

  • I watched this film with a couple of gal pals. I'm not generally a fan of comedies but this one was Hi-freakin-larious. And, you're right, Kathryn Hahn was the best one in the whole movie. I'd totally want to hang out with her character.

    • She killed me. In real life, I think she would definitely be an interesting person to have as a friend.

  • This movie looks so funny! I haven't seen it yet but I really want to. I just need to find a night where I can break away.

  • Kathryn Hahn always steals the show. Her comedic timing is spot on. I love her. I was on the fence about this movie, but every blogger review I read talks about how funny it is, which makes me want to go and see it.

    • Yeah she is just hilarious. I am not sure what {or if} I have seen her in before but I will definitely look for her now.
