Have you seen the reality show on the Discovery Channel called Naked & Afraid? The premise of the show is two strangers meet in a rugged environment, strip down to their naked self, take a document camera and prove that they can survive for 21 days with no help, no food…and no clothes. It’s an intriguing look at a human’s resourcefulness, survival skills and the ability to adapt.
Could You Survive “Naked And Afraid?”
The question is whether you could survive in this kind of challenge? Do you have what it takes? Here are 3 ways to help you decide if you have what it takes to survive Naked and Afraid.
Can You Adapt To Unusual Situations?
When you are thrown into a situation where you don’t know what is going to happen next, do you panic or do you look for ways to make it work? Can you walk into a room, assess a situation and find a solution to problems that you find? Obviously, some people are better at this than others. Some people are just flexible and love to be spontaneous; but others prefer a more structured lifestyle. A reality show like “Naked & Afraid” brings out these character traits and provides the chance to learn to adapt.
Do You Have Survival Skills?
Can you start a fire without a match? Have you ever tried to purify water without a filter? Would you be able to build a shelter to protect you from the rain? These are some basic skills that every person on the show needs to be able to do. Thoe players who can survive in the wild are the ones who will do the best on “Naked and Afraid.”
Do You Have A Strong Mind?
It seems like one of the most important characteristics of each player on “Naked & Afraid” is a strong mind and constitution that can handle the lack of food, extreme conditions and shortage of food. Being able to stay mentally focused and optimistic about your chances for survival play a key role in making it the entire 21 days.

I have seen this show and I don't think it's for me. It definitely takes a tough person.
I could never do this show. I am such a wimp and I would never be naked in front of all those people. So count me out!
My husband watches this show! I wouldn't survive.
I could survive watching Naked and Afraid. After that... not so much.
Nope. Not at all. Couldn't do it. I need a toilet and running water.
I bet the first shower they have when they are done with this show is like the best thing ever. You would have to drag me out.
I'm not so concerned about the survival skills part as I am the NAKED part. I need some clothing people! And lets be honest, I don't really feel like watching people strut their stuff on tv, know what I'm sayin'? :)
No. I have no desire to be naked with a stranger on TV. I'm sure the experience is great for some, but not for me.
I would not go on primarily because of the naked part. Nobody wants to see this. As far as the survival skills, I think I am a strong person...but maybe not that strong. I also love the shower.
Oh, I can't imagine how grimy they feel. Eek...
Nope no way couldn't do it. I don't like being naked in my own home lol!
what the!? i haven't even heard of this show. but, no way, i certainly couldn't do it.
