If you have seen the show 21 Jump Street starring Johnny Depp, one of my favorite actors, then you probably know of the movie 21 Jump street that was released in 2012 starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. This summer, Channing Tatum and Jonah hill took over the theaters again with a sequel – 22 Jump Street.
22 Jump Street Movie Review
I honestly had my doubts about how well 22 Jump Street was going to be. My reasoning behind this was that I loved 21 Jump Street (I will be referring to the movie, not the TV Show here on out) and thought it was hilarious. At times I find that once people try to make a sequel to a genuinely good comedy, it sucks. That wasn’t the case here at all. My friend and I went to go see it recently, during the day time, and the theater was packed.

22 Jump Street was hilarious. It was able to share some similarities to 21 Jump Street, yet also have it’s own original story line. Channing Tatum’s character was able to branch out more in this movie, and I really like that because I felt somewhat bad for him at times during 21 Jump Street. One of my favorite characters in the movie, Captain Dickson (played by Ice Cube), is extremely funny in this movie, and you are able to learn a good bit about his character. And of course, the movie is filled with action, great music, tons of partying, and a little bit of romance, just like the first movie.
Note: My mom thought I should let you know that, although she thinks that the people in the newer movies are funny, she doesn’t feel that the newer movies are much like the original show, so fans of the original show might be disappointed if that is what they are expecting. Go expecting something totally different, a clean slate, and you might genuinely enjoy it, though.

Final Thoughts On 22 Jump Street
Overall, I loved this movie, and I would most certainly watch it again. It was funny, original, and Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum did a great job. It was probably really close to being just as good, if not better than the first movie! I would recommend anyone who liked 21 Jump Street to go see 22 Jump street, you won’t be disappointed.

I haven't seen the first one yet because I am a slacker, but I need to and then I can see this one :)
We saw 21 Jump Street in anticipation of seeing this one in the theaters, but I could not get my spouse out of the house. We thought 21 was hilarious, we can;t wait to see this one as well. Those 2 are excellent together!
I haven't seen this yet. I would love to, though. I think my husband would be up for seeing it as well!
I can't wait to see this movie, it looks so funny and I loved the first one.
I can't wait to see 22 Jumpstreet. 21 Jumpstreet was hilarious! Plus, Channing Tatum is in it. Oh, Channing... SO hot. ;)
I watched the first one and wasn't very impressed, I will see it whenever it hits cable, no big rush for me. The original series was great though. And personally I would have rather seen a reunion of the original cast than a remake version.
I would love to see a reunion, too. Amber loved these movies, though. I think it's a generation gap, lol.
I found the first one okay, but I didn't watch it until it was out on bluray. I will wait and catch this one on bluray, too.
I'm so happy to hear that it's as good as the first one. I loved the first one and now I can't wait to see this one. Yay for good sequels.
Well it wasn't the funniest or best movie I ever watched, but it was certainly entertaining. I love Channing Tatum, even when he's being silly and dumb. Lol
I haven't seen the first one, but my two oldest boys watched it together when they came home to visit and there was a lot of laughing going on. Chances are high they'll see this one too (or they already have). ;)
I haven't seen either of these movies. it wouldn't be too hard to sit and watch Channing Tatum for a few hours :)
