Carowinds Thrill Rides And Fun For Teens #sponsored @CarowindsPark

Carowinds Fun For Teens ~

This past weekend me, three of my friends, and my parents went to Carowinds. Since I can remember, I have always loved roller coasters, they give me an adrenaline rush that I can not get enough of! We teens went one way and our parents went another as we like different type rides. We like to try out all of the thrill rides at Carowinds while they like to hang out at the Boomerang Bay Water Park. So,we teens decided to just walk around and ride every roller coaster we saw.

Thrill Rides and Roller Coasters at Carowinds

Carolina Cobra roller coaster at Carowinds

We started off with a somewhat smaller ride because one of my friends had a huge fear of roller coasters! So, first we rode the Ricochet! I loved it, but it ended up scaring him! I warned him then that he would have to get over that fear fast! 😛 Next, we decided to face his fears head on and ride the Vortex. I think the Vortex is a great ride for beginners to ride because although it is thrilling, it isn’t as crazy as some of the others!

Throughout the day, we continued riding rides, some of them twice! One of my favorite parts was riding with my friend Mackenzie and placing bets as to who could keep their arms up the entire time, especially on the Carolina Cobra and the Intimidator . On the Carolina Cobra, you ride backwards up a hill until you are released and sent hurling through many loops and hills until you ride up another hill, and sent through the whole thing backwards!

You Really Can Be In Two Places At Once

Be in two places at once at Carowinds!

In the middle of the day, we all were extremely worn out from all the walking and adrenaline. So, we went to eat at an old timey restaurant called JukeBox Diner. I got a chicken sandwich and it was to die for!

Afterwards, we started riding rides again! By the end of the day, we got my frightful friend to ride the Intimidator MULTIPLE times!

I went home that night feeling worn out, happy and sunburned! It was a wonderful day and I would gladly do it all over again!

Be sure to check out Carowinds hours and days of operation and go have some family fun!

  • If I am ever down in that area, we will have to check it out. My kids LOVE amusement parks and that looks like a fun one!

  • I don't live close to Carowinds, but I believe they are owned by the same company as Cedar Point, which we LOVE! If we are ever in the area though, I will be sure to pay a visit to Carowinds!

  • It has been way too long since I've been on a roller coaster. I miss them so much! This looks like a fun park. I hope it's one I get to visit!

  • I have never been able to convince myself to get on a roller coaster! I never even really liked Merry Go Rounds--although my Dad tried real hard to get me on-My Mom would veto it and managed to scare and scar me for life!! I am glad your friend was able to overcome his fear!!

  • Sounds like a great day! I am like your friend and don't do the scary rides. Yet I do get what you say about the adrenaline rush! Thanks for sharing your day at the amusement park . Best Regards, Wendy

  • What a cool looking theme park - and how fun that you can be in two places, we don't divide out lines quite as much as you do so I think it would be fun to say well 1/2 of me is in one place and 1/2 another ;) x

  • Dawn, this is so crazy! I live about five minutes away from Carowinds and was there quite a few times this summer! I agree that a day there is absolutely so much fun, but it is so tiring, especially during the summer months when it's a million degrees outside. ;) I think it's so funny how half of the park is technically in South Carolina, while the other half is in North Carolina.
