Johnny Depp In The Lone Ranger ~

There are a lot of hot movies coming out this summer and The Lone Ranger is definitely going to be one of them. Starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp, The Lone Ranger is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski. The Lone Ranger will be hitting theaters this 4th of July weekend!

Disney’s The Lone Ranger, is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.  Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

I love anything that Johnny Depp is in so, naturally, I am really excited to see this movie. I think the decision to cast Depp as Tonto was excellent as Johnny Depp does great in these off-beat character type roles. Honestly, I was not all that familiar with Armie Hammer’s work before hearing of his being cast in The Lone Ranger, but I watched J Edgar this weekend and Hammer did a wonderful job as the very likable Clyde Tolson in that movie, so now I am even more excited to see The Lone Ranger.

The Lone Ranger also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter and comes to theaters on July 3rd.
