This was my first year attending Merlefest to cover for the blog. Aside from that, I have only been once, like 13ish years ago. Man, let me tell you, I have been missing out. In just a little over two months, Merlefest will be taking place on the beautiful campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, NC. I have been to Merlefest once, a few years ago, and I got to see the multitalented Emmylou Harris. Since it’s so close to where I live [around an hour away] and has such a fabulous lineup, I am totally planning on going this year. And, the Merlefest Acoustic Kids Showcases are returning this year. A few years ago {maybe 10 or so) I went to Merlefest for the first time. So. Much. Music. I have to say, it was pretty amazing. There was entertainment and vendors everywhere. And I got to see THE Emmylou Harris. Amazing, people. There were so many types of music there that I really think most people could find something that they not only liked, but loved.
