Marilyn Monroe ~

If I could go back in time and spend the afternoon with any person, I would most certainly pick the ever so lovely Marilyn Monroe. I would love to just spend the afternoon with her and see how she thought and even how she did little every day routines. But better yet, I think I would want to go further back and spend an afternoon with her before her pseudonym “Marilyn Monroe” was even created. I’d want to spend an afternoon with Norma Jean Mortenson.

Marilyn Monroe: A Story Of Survival
I’d want to spend the afternoon with her while she struggled through her childhood. I wish I could be there to help her through the terrible things that she went through such as rape, abandonment, and seeing her mother suffer from Schizophrenia. From a young age she was bounced around countless times from foster home to foster home. For many kids, this would have led them down a very destructive path. She developed a prescription drug addiction {which was quite vogue and inconsequential in her day} but I believe she handled her traumas quite well when all things that she could have become are considered.
Besides the other dramatic episodes in her life, she also got married at 16. She struggled for quite some time and went from barely having enough food to make it through the week while trying to find work as an amateur actress to that of being an international celebrity icon with a life full of excesses. I believe this adjustment would be tough for anyone to get used to.

What Really Happened To Marilyn Monroe?
And most of all, I really wish I knew what happened to her. Was it really suicide? Or are all those “crazy conspirators” right and was she really murdered by someone close to {or part of} the Kennedy family? Or maybe it really was an accident? The world really may never know.

If You Could Go Back In Time And Spend The Afternoon With Anyone, Who Would You Choose?

That is a hard choice. Maybe Cleopatra. She’s was always interesting to me and it would be kind of neat to see her every day life.

I would want to spend a day with Marilyn and really get to know her. She was a lost soul, I feel she was manipulated and used. She could have been the girl next door but was lead down a different path by greedy people. Just my thought.
I’m also fascinated by Marilyn Monroe. Wouldn’t it be nice to go back in time and chat with her to find out the truth of what happened?
Don’t you just hate that there are so many questions that will never be answered about her?

I love Seven Year Itch! Thats one of my favorite movies. If I could spend a day with someone from the past I would choose Elizabeth Taylor, her life just seems so interesting to me.

I love Marilyn. I think she was so amazing and doesn’t get the credit she deserves for being so amazing. I’ve always had a fascination with her, and even Anna Nicole Smith. It’s odd but their lives are so tragically similar in a lot of ways.
i have always wanted to go back in time and meet Marilyn too!
